Based on Japanese popular imagery and design elements used in packaging throughout it's long history of mass production. Reproducing common images both old (traditional) and new (current). Morbid, pornographic, cute, mundane, psychedelic, etc. all come together.
These paintings were created using a range of materials (both cheap and high quality), and processes (some painstaking slow, and some quick and mechanical).
Acrylic paint, graphite, charcoal on paper ( ranging from newsprint to acid-free mid-weight paper), tape, glue, wheat paste was also used.
